A few units from the first batch of Integrated Digital Seven-Hole Probes produced under new physical-distancing measures, waiting for QA testing

Surrey Sensors Ltd. is pleased to announce the re-opening of its main engineering and design offices on Railton Road in north Guildford.

“We are incredibly lucky to have such dedicated and resilient staff,” said Joe Braitch, managing director. “In a matter of days, we were able to switch all operations on-line, and were able to carry on with core engineering activities with almost no interruption. Still, we’re glad now to be back at our offices.” Staff from the core engineering, systems. sales and marketing teams will continue to work remotely when possible.

Production and assembly of our best-selling multi-hole probe systems and pressure scanners has also resumed, to meet current demand. “We’ve implemented the recommended physical-distancing protocols and sterilization processes in order to protect our staff- this meant some rethinking of the way we do things.”

“These are, indeed, interesting times,” said Dr. David Birch, Director of Research and head of Advanced Projects. “We’ve seen a massive increase in demand for medical applications (including our spriometry technology), and we’ve been invited to contribute expertise to a number of university-led research projects.”

Development also continues on a number of new prototype technologies. “We’ve certainly been busy here,” added Dr. Birch – “expect more exciting announcements soon!”
